Author Guidelines

Authors must legally warrant that their submitted manuscript is fully original, has not been published previously (except as an academic thesis or preprint), and is not under concurrent review by any other journal. Submissions must adhere strictly to the word count limits and structural formatting specified in the JRTN Manuscript Template.

Mandatory EQUATOR Network Reporting Guidelines:

To ensure absolute transparency, methodological reproducibility, and the highest standards of international scientific reporting, JRTN strictly mandates that all authors format their methodology and results in accordance with the EQUATOR Network guidelines (www.equator-network.org). Authors must upload the completed, study-specific checklist as a mandatory supplementary file during the OJS submission process:

1. Randomized Controlled Trials (RCTs): Must comply with the CONSORT (Consolidated Standards of Reporting Trials) statement, including the flow diagram.
2. Observational Studies: Cohort, case-control, and cross-sectional designs must comply with the STROBE (Strengthening the Reporting of Observational Studies in Epidemiology) checklist.
3. Systematic Reviews & Meta-Analyses: Must adhere to the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) guidelines.
4. Clinical Case Reports: Must follow the CARE (Case Report Guidelines) framework.
5. Qualitative Research: Must utilize either the COREQ (Consolidated criteria for Reporting Qualitative research) or SRQR (Standards for Reporting Qualitative Research) instruments.
6. Quality Improvement Studies: Must comply with SQUIRE (Standards for Quality Improvement Reporting Excellence).
7. Economic Evaluations: Must follow CHEERS (Consolidated Health Economic Evaluation Reporting Standards).
8. Study Protocols: Must utilize the SPIRIT (Standard Protocol Items: Recommendations for Interventional Trials) guidelines.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.
